Lana Hughes is a London based Artist, once a Graphic Designer & Sign Painter, with a love of Typography, Textiles, Architecture & all things Lettering based, now a multi-disciplinary Artist, Illustrator & published author who can't quite settle on what exactly it is she does. A little from Column A, a little from Column B... However, every piece of work revolves around type & signage, that much is for sure.
With a fascination of pretty much everything mid-century, each design created is a reflection of just that - combining her love for designing type, with traditional quilting & sign painting techniques. Her obsession for all things Signage, yes, even the terrible ones - especially them! (We're talking your local off license's handwritten special offer window signs here, just perfect).
Every piece of work is designed by hand, by a human, with years of experience, skill & expertise. If you're looking for a super quick turnaround because 'AI can do that' or your cousin could do it cheaper in 20 mins, then i'm afraid you're in the wrong place, pal! Each of Lana's designs are carefully considered, designed & crafted, uniquely, according to the brief she is presented with. Bringing credibility, craft & a memorable, unique outcome to your brand or project.
